Big Night Out

Usually when Lesley and I go out on the weekends, we tend to hit one bar and then come running back to the homestead.  A couple of weeks ago we stopped at a few places.  Here are some photos from our big night of barhopping.

We began at Birdies as is our custom.  This place has been our go to spot since we moved.  The open atmosphere, friendly staff, and lack of crowds make it a good anchor.

Next we went down to The Lomax Lodge.  This is the hipster dive of 5 points.  Serving a large assortment of beer.  It is an interesting and fun place.  The musical choices can be a little suspect sometimes. The bartenders are always friendly and helpful with beer suggestions.

Finally, we ended our night at Underbellys.  This place is located in the back of Anamoly on Park St.  It is located in the back courtyard.  It has a great atmosphere, and is really unique.  The staff is really nice, if perhaps a little inept (the bartender couldn’t open our wine the night we were there.  Lesley had to step in and do the honors).  The live music was pretty forgettable, but it seems to be a great little venue for small bands.
