Sad Sacks

Perhaps the most exciting aspects of film photography, is getting the prints back from the developer. Usually, it takes so long to get film back from the lab (especially if I go through Wal-Mart), that often I have forgotten what I had shot. I especially love it when I get a weird mish mash of subjects and locations.

Recently, I got a roll back from Wal-Mart that contained a little bit of our holiday trip home, and dinner with the in-laws a couple of weeks ago. Ironically, my shots were both of sad faces.

This is my mother’s basset Millie. She is not really sad. Her face is always like that. One of the many reasons I am crazy about this dog.

This is my nephew. Recently, he has become the master of the pout face. He possesses almost Jedi like powers in making you feel bad about taking things away from him. Ironically, I had just taken my camera back, and that was the reason for that face.
